@fairyvexed: Oh has she? I haven't really read her lately. That explains it, I thought it was a bit odd.

@Ismone: Yeah.. .you're right. I guess it's just the specifics of this case that are breaking my brain.
@Ismone @Lux Alptraum: Definitely. I wouldn't want to suggest that just because it took someone awhile to figure out what happened to them or to come forward their case is no longer legitimate.
I think the only real gray area here is, if the way the tabloids are running it is true, the fact that the women apparently were quite buddy-buddy with Julian the day after their alleged assaults.
One last thing: it's pretty rich to write an article about "men" when your experience is with "men who can afford (and find it necessary) to pay a 'high-end matchmaker' to find people for them to date".
Also, how better to 'keep things interesting' but to get totally wasted and cause a scene?
I finally figured out what #5 means; they mean the right time to have sex for the first time, like after three dates or 6 months or whatever is 'right for both of you'. Not like 11 PM or just after tea-time.
That video is a joke right? Ha ha?

@intangiblemango: mini bottle of Cholula: BRILLIANT
Flying to North Carolina on a Friday evening for a two-day work trip, Jetblue from JFK. One of those flight delays where they keep pushing it back 45 minutes. . .then 30. . .then another 20. . .so that you never think you have time to go sit in the bar but end up sitting there for hours and hours, just watching. . .
@SnideySense: I actually think it's fairly depressing when people have all those requirements about drinking and smoking and wanting children and is the same religion. Sure, we've all got preferences and things that might make us more likely to get along, but I think it's close-minded and overly cynical to limit…
I am having a great week on OKcupid. Newest message:
Having a flight scheduled on a particular day is basically a 100% guarantee that I will only be able to locate one dirty white sock and one of my halloween-themed witch-and-broomstick socks. Every. damn. time.
@la.donna.pietra: Abstract philosophical issue? Did you not see where I said that I feel so strongly about this because my mother is a midwife and deals with this in the real world every day? She's opted to work in a medicare clinic and she sees the horrible way pregnant women are treated in hospitals and the…
@la.donna.pietra: Again, nobody is sneering at medically necessary C-sections. Medically UNnecessary C-sections are, however, a disgrace. And I never said everybody should avoid ultrasounds, but that women aren't given the information necessary to make an informed decision about whether they want and need one.
@LoSpaz: Sure; I'm not saying nobody should ever have an ultrasound. I'm saying women aren't adequately informed about it or particularly given the option to make their own choice.
@la.donna.pietra: Nobody's saying you shouldn't go to the hospital if there's an emergency or that it's a bad thing we have the medical ability to deal with those kinds of complications. The problem arises from starting in the hospital instead of only going there if complications happen; that leads to over…
@small-fox: and this- [www.autismspeaks.org]
@small-fox: It's unproven but definitely not whackadoo. The steep rise in autism rates coincided directly with ultrasounds becoming standard practice. My midwife mom showed the study to my scientist dad and he thought the logic held up. And women are always told to get one even though they aren't 100% necessary; it's…
