Yep, I’m one of those who became dis-interested in the Supra on July 18.

This is exactly me. I was excited for the Supra And had it on my list as my next car but man the C8 changed my mind. While I didn’t get a 2020 order in for the C8 it’s worth waiting for a 2021 over a Supra because it looks awesome.

The only thing the C8 has over the new Supra is that GM didn’t collaborate with anyone to build it, which makes the Supra being a rebodied Z4 all the more galling. Otherwise I'm as grouchy about the C8 being beaten with an ugly stick so hard the engine went and hid in the trunk it's not funny.

LGBTQ rights are absolutely political.

I imagine you’d mostly find pushback on 2, 3, 4, and 5. China’s unlikely to make a big stink about 1, because they maintain that their elections are free, open, and fair (as does North Korea, despite the Kim regime only being a regime because the fuckwads in that family are the only people on the ballot). In order to

A copy of a post I made a few days ago:

As an aside, I wonder at what point Blizzard would object to a series of statements:

Something being political is completely defined by how the political parties picked a side on something. It’s pretty US-centric to assume that it’s not political to support it in itself. It’s incredibly political in countries where people are legally put in jail for being gay. Or even in countries where you are a

Three things here—for me, anyway (YMMV):

1.) This is a delayed punishment, and it seems like that delay was largely a function of Blizzard gauging the (almost entirely negative) reaction to their sanctioning of Blitzchung. When most of the complaints coming out about Blitzchung’s treatment included acknowledgment that

I was watching the Jimquisition on this the other day and he made a fairly interesting point about Blizzard on this one. They argue that the matter is to keep politics out and keep the optics on the game itself. But if someone were to post something that is arguably political but less controversial (and certainly not

I dunno about you, but I’m boycotting them going forward until they come up with a more reasonable stance on this issue. Censorship of competitors who are calling for more democracy, of all things, is absolutely beyond the pale. The fact that it offends an authoritarian regime doesn’t matter.

Ultimately, everything is political. I forget who actually said it, but the aphorism that we do not have to take an interest in politics for politics to take an interest in us is absolutely true—and it’s of vital importance to the present situation.

More importantly, Acti-Blizz (and the NBA, and South Park) took a

We've fought wars and let our young and brave countrymen die to protect our democracy and isn't it fascinating to watch how fast we'll sell it out for cold hard cash.

They most certainly have that right.

Thanks for reporting on this. Blizzard has shut out all discussions on the topic and are on complete radio silence. They want this to blow over quickly.

In which Hong Kong will be crushed by the ironically named“Peoples’ Army”, and the rest of the world with simply denounce the loss of life as a human rights issue. Nothing will happen. Hong Kong will cease to have any level of autonomy. Nobody will intervene in a military capacity. All of this buildup in the South

“Sweep the leg, Johnny!” was the best line.

“Should have.
