You sound like my boyfriend. He loves telling people we can get married because he keeps asking my dad for permission and hasn’t got an answer. Dad’s been gone about a decade.

One of the first famous people I followed after I got my brand-new Twitter account was Mara Wilson. Actually she’s pretty much the only famous person I follow. I have no regrets.

Happy 30th Kat Dennings.

How am I supposed to pay my dad back for all he’s done when he’s been DEAD for thirteen years, Yelp? Huh? HUH?! RIDDLE ME THAT, YELP!!!

KANYE’S FINALLY KONTOURED. KONGRATS.

I would be inventing diseases too if it meant escaping from torture.

Look, it’s not about making prison nice and comfortable for murderers, or whatever. It’s about the rest of us out here. Society. Are we the kind of people that will make another human being suffer when we have the ability to alleviate that suffering, simply because we cannot be bothered? Or because we’re that fucking

That’s just petty. Fuck these people.

Bean counters...someone always has to be the Adolf Eichmann in the office. “I’m just following orders and keeping the records”.

Here in Southern California we can get by without a/c on account of $$$ (I do), but you’re going to have a few crappy days/nights in the summer where a box fan doesn’t cut it. And we have basically zero humidity. Doing this in hot, humid Louisiana is just inhumane. These guys don’t even have a window they can open.

Reminder to those who live further north: Air-conditioning is a luxury [that no one wants to live without] in, say, northern Illinois. It’s a necessity in Louisiana.

This is like not providing heat in a Minnesota winter.

I wish any of this surprised me...

So, just remember people, when prisons are privatized it will in no way affect how prisons operate. No one will be worried about the bottom line, because that isn’t what prisons are for. It will definitely not have any effect on things like living conditions or medical care for the inmates. Because that would just be

I mean, those prisoners are already getting the ultimate consequence for their actions. Now the state is actually spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to ensure that they can still slap a bit of legal torture onto their sentences? Oh The South, I’ll just never understand you.

“If we provide a non life threatening environment for these prisoners, then we’ll have to make sure ALL the prisoners EVERYWHERE don’t die of heat stroke. Can’t have that, now. No siree.”

They like their reputation for being cruel and they are using tax payers’ money to keep it. More fuckery from a state full of good Christians, teen pregnancy, and STIs.

I am so sorry that happened to you. I can't imagine how difficult that experience must have been.

If I am having a bad day at work I will listen to that story. It never fails to make me laugh. My sister and I quote it constantly. Anytime we see someone we know...
“Oh yeah yeah yeah of course she’s here.”
