I regularly torrent Dr. Who immediately after it's broadcast by the BBC in Britain. Then, when the DVD edition is released, I buy the DVDs. I'd gladly pay a fee to the BBC for them to allow me to use their iPlayer in the US.

@nbock01: Emacs has an EDT emulation mode (M-x edt-emulation-mode).
VOTE: Emacs
@MkFly: Why not Emacs on windows as well? I use it at work all the time!
And if your employer pays tuition reimbursement, you can go the legit route even cheaper!
@KamWrex: On my DInc, SwiftKey only takes up 50% of my screen.
SwiftKey is great (I've got it) but it's only the two-week demo that's free. After that, it's a $4.99 purchase.
I've always done this with just plain table salt and vinegar. The flour isn't necessary.
@meseta: I've always done this with straight table salt and vinegar. No flour.

I'd like this better if it gave you widget sizes other than 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 and 1x4. I'd love to set up a 4x1 row to make, say, six icons across a row, but this won't do it. I could do a 1x4 and make a single COLUMN of six icons, but not a row.
I need to be able to VPN in and use my desktop when I'm not in the office.
Didn't the Mythbusters do something on this recently?
@AmphetamineCrown: Well, that IS pretty much what Dr. Hagen said in his quote.
I still want to be able to add shortcuts to gmail searches, so I can bookmark "label:important in:inbox" and not have to see the 'important' email that's already been filtered into other folders.
I've got a console very much like this that I gutted years ago and I use it as my stereo cabinet. I haven't tricked it out as much as Travis did, but I love the sound of the speakers in the cabinet.
@FriarNurgle: Yeah, I don't have large enough quantities of small parts to make the cabinet worth it. Each of those drawers would have four or five of a particular part in it. The binder's a great idea for those of us who only dabble with parts.
@Architectin: Take the handle out of the clip, put the cable in the handle, put the handle back in the clip. Now the wire part of the cable will slide through the handle, but the plug end of the cable gets caught. Voila!
Perfect for concerts!
@Xagest: This formula is still pretty secure, since it hinges on knowing your favorite Pokemon. When I was a kid, everyone in my mom's office knew her password formula, but I was the only one who could remember her password, because I was the only one who could remember the names and relative ages of my siblings and…
