Folding knife in my pocket, whistle is on the panel next to the pack and a fire kit with various tinders, firesteel and lighter in one of the pouches. The patches are just ones that I’ve designed myself and the 18 mile hike we went on took 7-8 hours and ended up in the remote pub for a locally brewed pint actually!

That’s why I just replaced a lot of the superflous strapping on my kits with braided paracord, with rope it’s heavy and in a real pinch you rarely have enough.

It’s a 2Litre water bladder, full when I started and only just didn’t finish it (there was a locally brewed pint calling me at the end!)
