When it first came out, it was a highly competitive car. They just allowed it to age for over ten years with practically no update. So in the beginning they were good, we just remember the years when they fell behind everyone else.
It was actually a good, highly competitive car when it first came out. We think of it badly because it lasted for over 10 years without an update, so the later ones were very old and noncompetitive in their segment. We only think of the years it fell behind.
