Breonna Taylor hasn’t received justice and she was an EMT, someone who white people especially would call “respectable” or a “hero” as an essential worker, but only in a broad conceptual sense. Once her Blackness came to light, there was no rush to get justice.

My apologies- you are correct and my memory of learned history was wrong. The first trans-Atlantic slave shipment by Europeans was in 1526, so well over 400 years ago. The rest of my points stand, but this one could have been more accurate.
