I grew up in the area, and was 10 at the time. It was scary stuff, my Mom was freaking out every day that me and my younger brother wanted to go ride our bikes, etc. during the summer.

It sounded even cooler heading down Kettle Bottoms towards Canada Corner. You can get right down to the fence there, and the trees sort of funnel the sound.
