Is it wrong that I think this thing is really intriguing?

My lady had one for 6 years, got it in highschool, didnt change the oil until I did it, 5 years after ownership. The one issue it had was a o2 sensor, and I had to remove and reinstall the ignition a few different times because the key would turn but wouldn't do anything. (not sure what the actual problem was but

Where are you located Dave? Im in Wisconsin, but worked for BIR in brainerd Minn with some other long time Formula Vee drivers

That just gave me so many good ideas.

I run a 69 Caldwell Formula vee. Its a ton of fun, but any open wheel car is dangerous. Drop a wheel between the bodywork while cornering, and touch tires and someone could be going airborne...

My dealership is delivering 6 "oprah beetles" tomorrow (as they are called around here). We got all of them for Wisconsin.

Double Dog is the finest brew by Flying Dog.

A "vibration dampener" (little hunk of rubber I believe) nstalled on all 4 fuel lines, and a replacement of the #2 line if needed.

Wow, that hit the net quick. I work in service for a VW/Audi dealer, and we just got notification from VW 10/3. It isnt even an official recall til November, although new vehicle are being taken in and repaired before being sold. I think we did 6 or so of them this week. Its a 10-30 minute repair, very simple.

The dealership I work for is supposed to get these things. My business card claims Im a Mahindra dealer.

No, there is no getting away from the weather here. The only way your going to experience a temperature change with elevation is if you go under water.

Hayward is great. It seems that everyone has a cabin in, or some relation to the area. I think there is a mini golf course just below that we used to frequent. I dont think I have made it inside the fish since I was little.

There is an actual tool for this. You can buy a paint thickness tester which tells you exactly how thick the finish is, so you dont even need to find mud or repair. Just check the whole vehicle for variations in paint thickness.

This is pretty difficult as I LOVE vintage road racing. Being a formula vee driver I get excited over old vee's and super vee's, etc..but one car that always gets me excited is this Lola t616 piloted by my close friend Herm Johnson.

Around here we refer to that as "small dick yellow"

@Novaload: Traveling with a tarp can seriously eat away paint.
