I liked the philosphical hitman bit too, but I agree with you, he was overdoing it in parts in this episode. Maybe part of him just couldn't resist dangling his superior education in front of Simone. A pretty good character flaw.

I know Malvo was too old in Season One but I could see him being the child of Simone and Mike… the humor and the storytelling references. I would love seeing Malvo have a back story but I guess that would be at the expense of his mystique. It seemed like Malvo did have some connection to that area.

I think saying he will make the show a farce is crazy. Some of the other performers have done a lot worse. He is actually talented, witty, and puts on a great show without having to resort to shocking or disgusting people.
