Yeah it’s a real shame we have what, two wagons in the US anymore aside from the Subies-on-stilts. Volvo V60/90 are beautiful/capable/pricey, and only special order. I’ve seen 2. Look for an affordable Fusion wagon for ‘22, also a bit lifted and bland but let’s wait and see. 2015 saw Toyota euthanize the Venza after

A lot of vehicles look basically the same these days. I agree that Mazda does have great design. Not a fan of their poor interior room, at least on the ‘17 CX-5 my mom drives. Beautiful candy-apple red paint and curves, but the interior is a crackerbox vs. others in same class, including my wife’s ‘11 RDX.

Beautiful!

Agreed, this is a good-looking ride and is now on our prospect list to replace my wife’s ‘11 RDX. I have an ‘18.5 Regal TourX and aside from a few warranty issues that were fixed, it’s been solid and immensely useful after 21k miles in two years. Good to hear from an owner here that previous Envisions have also been

My bad-I wrote a reply saying you could get it in silver or graphite but thought you were talking TourX. GSi yes, would be awesome.

Yes, the top end was overpriced imo by about $3-5k and that along with basically nonexistent marketing and worse dealer interest (many TourX buyers reported attempts at being steered away from it into SUVs) didn’t help. Not sure if you’re aware, but AWD is standard on all TourX trims, so I’d guess that’s one major

Eh. That’s what rebadging is for!

Actually the TourX is available in those colors. I have a charcoal grey Essence that takes on different hues in different light...very cool. I’d guess you could find one in the colors you want, new or just slightly used.

13k miles in and zero rattles here. Sorry to hear about yours.

Yeah, um, it’s not an F40 and never claimed to be. “If not for the...” is what kills cool cars and/or cars with a lot of cool potential. Get the tune if you want better throttle response. Get better tires and/or get mods for the rest. It remains a steal either way. Realize that most production cars are made for the

Please. It’s about as raised as a Camry.

Nah. You can get into a new, loaded TourX for high $20s with a little savvy. I bet Volvo is dealing on the V60 and 90 also. To anybody who says “old people” or AARP to any of these wagons, I say go drive one before you diss it.

I saw that a few months ago these were being discounted by $25k or so. Still too rich for my blood. I’ll stick with my TourX but sweet wagons for sure.

Too bad about the V-dubs, sharp wagons indeed. I bought a loaded new TourX Essence (top end) in February after being reminded “If you don’t buy it, then don’t bitch that it ain’t here on Jalopnik. Love it. You can get into the base model for low-mid $20s now, and the top end loaded for high $20s/low 30s. Get the

Excellent article, David, clearly lots of painstaking research went into it. I’m not a GM hater, just bought a new GM matter of fact. I think their stuff is [by and large] immensely better today than in decades past. But I doubt it was lost on me or anyone else that as you mention the Quad 4 “...soldiered on in

IKR?! LOL. I couldn’t believe they resurrected the Aspen name either. The mom of a buddy of mine had a shit-brown Volaré wagon in our early teens (‘83ish). He and I both made copious fun of it. I do remember those slippery seats, too. Ha!

WOOT! And it even includes seats according to that dealer. Cool.

Bought one. Love it. Thanks for the heads up on the deals. My first new GM vehicle and I’m nearly 50. There have been others I’ve admired, but impractical for me or gaudy interiors. This one, nope. Understated yet still nice. Looking forward to taking it camping, road trips, etc. Pairs nicely with my S2000.

Same for me on deal (got mine Feb 1 so a bit late to the party but just as stoked) and TourX joining my other obscure car, an S2000. Best of all worlds in my garage.

Also a big V60 fan. Price and lack of availability (I guess you have to special order the non-CC version? WTH?) turned me off though. Dig the Audis too, but worry about dependability there. FWIW, I didn’t read great things about the Buick either. Quite a lot of [unsubstantiated] vitriol in fact, mostly from comment
