She’s lucky to have you.

Infomal Oscars strategist - is it like psychic?

Because he’s right.

I’ve had more than one person get stupid when I try and talk about how recent gay rights actually came about. Twice, I’ve even listed all my work in various grassroots LGBT organizations since I was 15. One person, I think the one you’re taking about, dismissed my comment and claimed he now knows what being

This is where that Albright quote applies, if you ask me. A woman like Taylor, who is making quite a point lately of speaking up about both feminism and her industry, should see an intersection here. And should really want to say “let me use my admittedly powerful voice to get this some attention” - to support another

Unpopular opinion but I think it’s valid complaint. A lot of these “girl power” artists use it only to further themselves and their own careers but remain silent during the trials of others.

Yeah, that was the thinking for me. Then the reality set in :(

If I were to describe Bernie I would say that he panders to group of people who feel like they’ve been left behind. He promises them things that they want to hear to get them riled up into thinking that he will change the world. It’s unrealistic but nobody who supports him cares because they think he will make America

Um, no.

That was a huge gaffe for him. Obama’s approval numbers are great, and they’re over 90% approval with black Democrats (redundant, I know). If Bernie wants to improve those numbers, he can’t be saying that a beloved president was a failure.

With Gregory Peck looking on, from the corner, with a wistful smile.

Bernie seems too idealistic for me. Would it be great and amazing to have everything that he is promising? Hell fucking yeah. But I know it's not gonna happen when republicans still control the senate. I just keep imagining the government shutdowns that will take place whenever Bernie tries to pass something the GOP

From what I’ve seen from some of Bernie’s supporters is that he’ll be able to get stuff done because 1) he’s worked with the Republicans in Congress for 20-plus years and 2) he’s white and Obama is not.

And the consequences of that letdown could be terrible for Democrats. Obama had at least gotten enough done and had enough personal charm that people were willing to give him another chance in ‘12. If Sanders can’t deliver on any of his promises during his first term, none of his supporters will show up in ‘20, and

Agreed. Obama did a great job given the circumstances, but all the feely-hopey-changey voters who immediately became disillusioned when Obama performed within the constraints of his role to inch us forward decided to sit out the last few midterms. My future is too important to trust these fair-weather voters again.

Sorry, what never happened?

From what I have heard of her, I doubt she wanted anything published posthumously any more than she wanted it published during her life. Doesn’t mean it won’t be, though.
