My first bike was a CBR650F, not quite as aggressive as the R6 but I pretty quickly changed it out for a 390Duke because I knew it was more than I should trust myself to handle safely and the Duke better fits riding around a city.

How was an E34 530i or 540i not mentioned? Wouldn’t even need the engine swap and they can be had for less than 5K. They’re comfortable, stately, and more than willing to get going when it’s asked of them. (They also might be one of the top 5 prettiest BMWs ever, imo)
