I know, It’s like asking “I have no idea why a Toyota Corolla is $10,000 less than a Honda Accord.”
I know, It’s like asking “I have no idea why a Toyota Corolla is $10,000 less than a Honda Accord.”
Both SUVs are about the same size (197 inches long for the Kia, 185 for the Mitsubishi
Probably easier than being a tall one.
What’s it like being a short pedo?
I seem to recall Germany having experimented with hydrogen vehicles some time ago. Don’t think it ended well. Something about huge manatees.
1st Gear: Hydrogen is ideal politically because it isn’t as industry-changing a technology. Germany’s issue is it’s got to cut emissions from its main export because if they don’t, the rest of the world’s gonna do it for them. But that will also mean automakers need fewer workers, and there’s no scenario where that…
Yeah its exactly like the gladiator. There was so much hype for no reason IMO.
It’s already becoming moot. National dealer chains are buying up local dealers, and while there will still be inefficiencies, the big dealers won’t be interested in this nickle-dime crap for the most part. (And while its a ton of money per car, it’s nickel-dime for them.)
“I am buying a Chevy.”
Search Jalopnik for “dealer markup” and the answer becomes a distinct “no.”
When you try to trade in a stick, dealers lowball you because “demand for manuals is low.”
You’re definitely not wrong, but short term there’s a long list of idiots right behind you that will be perfectly happy to pay an extra $10k over list for your Bronco.
Because they’ll probably keep your deposit.
That will garner an extra markup because it’s even more of a special order
I posted a picture of a 15k markup from my Kia dealership on the last article about the Mach-E, so if they’re not topping 15k markup yet Kia is still on another level. This whole year is just weird with prices though - my wife just sold her 3 year old, 45k mile Civic for $1200 less than she bought it. We’re going to…
The desire to be the 1st one on your block to have one is just insane to me. These’ll be like Gladiators in 18 months, dealer lots will be covered in them and the suckers who paid over MSRP (excepting special ed versions like Warthogs and High Plains) will be that much farther underwater on their loans. I have little…
The easiest solution is just to sit out. Say naw, I am buying a Chevy. People have lost the concept that they only get paid if you play...
Order one in a weird color combo or other unusual configuration, don’t accept the markup, and give the dealer a hard time selling it :p
The franchise dealer model needs to die, already. It is BAD for consumers and horribly inefficient.
Just tell them to pound sand. Plenty of other cars to buy.
