The problem with “ride the dragon” scenes is, every time I zero in on Danerys, the limitations of this show’s CGI budget become apparent and I might as well be watching the Isis TV show from the 70s.

So I *am* someone who has a history with the character, a practically archetypal one. I was the perfect age, 8 years old, when the first issue of the 70s revival showed up. It was *my* thing, as if I discovered something nobody else knew was so awesome.
There is something substantial you get out of an upper class school, even if you just go there to socialize: networking. You can make lifelong friends there, and if it’s a good school, those friends are more likely to help you with their connections throughout your life. Sure, it’s still an aristocratic system at work…
Have you tried Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva? Fantastic sipping rum.
Great timing, I’m about to replace a 500Gb SSD with a 2 Tb one. The old one is running an upgrade (not a clean install) of win 10 from win 7. Will there be any snags just using the same reg number on the second drive? Will the first one still work as well if I want to boot it? Or do I have to do some kind of…
Nice. So the Globe endorses the idea that the government SHOULD operate by mobster rules.
I like the bottles but sometimes I’ll use like half a bottle to avert hunger before bed and then end up throwing out the rest. Soylent now has a new liquid product, Soylent Bridge, that is meant as a sort of snack replacement - 11 oz vs 14 oz, but what interests me is, it’s about a third of the carbs. Right now you…
Nick Cannon can blow me.
The native advertising continues. Ad infinitum, apparently.
I think Rabin would be interested to know that they’re resurrecting his decade-old article in the header that lists all the other sites networked to the AV Club.
Fuck those people. :)
I know exactly how he’ll return from the dead:
“Never trust a show that comes out of the gate with a voice-over.”
Watchmen: “who would’ve thought that fidelity to the source material would be the most common knock against it?”
You’re kidding, right?
This is what I’ve always thought, and why I saw this as such a brilliant ending. For the rest of his life (whether in the next few seconds or years later), this was his fate: that he’d never be able to relax, that he’d always be looking over his shoulder, thinking that the next suspicious looking guy might be the one…
Ye gods! How many native advertising articles are you going to write about Instant Pot? How much are they paying you guys? Holy shit!
Wow! How many more native advertising pieces on the Instant Pot can we expect? Let’s help the agency out here, it can’t be easy to brainstorm out ideas for “articles” that don’t immediately look like ads.
The Instant Pot Saved My Paella And My Marriage
I’ve already got a coffee warmer and it does the job in 60 seconds. It’s called a microwave.
This is one of the silliest attempts to pick a nit I’ve ever seen. It’s a fucking “worst films” list. It’s like saying Trump shouldn’t be included in any Worst Presidents list because he’s such an obvious choice.
