To be fair, Miata is always the answer, for better or worse.

I can’t believe how cheap used Teslas are getting now. Google says a long range AWD Model 3 starts at around $48k. This thing is nearing half that in only 3 years of use - that is Maserati-level depreciation on what used to be a hot commodity with a waiting list.

I am surprised to not see any recommendations, other than in the comments, for the wagon version of the Taurus, the Flex. He already said his dad likes the Taurus and its features, he just wants a higher ride height and 2 full rows.

The PT Cruiser was just good enough when it started in 2000, but not when it went out in 2010 as the same car.

Counterpoint. Old weird Ford club/crew cabs used on railroad tracks, municipal departments, telephone companies, etc. are dope as hell.

The bro-dozer thing really grinds my gears because many of the modifications are also done on the cheap and actually make the truck less safe for both the occupants and other people on the roadways. With as big and heavy as trucks are these days, lifting them much higher than factory ride height makes for a much more

I just got a Subaru that has auto-dimming side mirrors. It is absolutely one of my favorite features ever in a car.

When I was a kid the only 4 door pickups you would see were either owned by the highway department, railways, or mining companies.  Farmers owned regular two doors, long beds. City cowboys owned two door short beds or step-sides.  The odd family had extended cabs.

I’ll say it as its so super obvious but to me its the whole Bro-Dozering of all trucks now. Doesn’t matter if its a Tacoma, Ranger, Silverado or whatever. Its so god-damned tiring too. Because most of it looks like things that high school kids would think looks bad ass. Except its most grown adult men driving these

Only making 4-door models.

Best term I have heard for them is “Emotional Support Trucks”. Let’s make it stick and maybe at least a couple of guys will be shamed enough by it to not buy them.

They’ve essentially reinvented themselves as just a larger three-box sedan by this point.

The fact that any Stellantis brands could rate highly on quality is a dead giveaway that its BS.

Just a reminder that JD power initial quality is a very poor metric for reliability. It basically just shows which brands can iterate on their Ux faster.

Yes, because if there’s one thing we know, it’s that J.D. Power is the gold standard for independent, data-driven analyses.

“Get a Miata, but  S P I C Y.”

Be different!

NO.

I mean if you just want to be safe, don’t get out of bed. Don’t get in your car. Don’t do anything.”

its morse code for “need playstation controller batteries”
