Yeah I’ve found a few times right around major life events that I’ll buy the “toy” that I previously wanted due to more income or a special deal, and then not have the time / desire to use it anymore after the life event.
Novel idea:
Instead of going out and blowing $25k before you’re established in a job and have a known steady income, just keep what you have for a year or so so you get a better grasp on life and what you’ll actually need.

Seems to me that the Airflow was a kind of “moral” success, it flopped because it was ahead of its time, so there is a reason to be proud about it. The Edsel was just an average car with weird styling that flopped real hard - and embarrassing footnote that won't be revived u ironically anytime soon.
