Jalopnik has written about this before: The Corporate Grill. I wouldn’t stop there. The idea that all the cars from your brand must have the same design language is not a good thing. BMW used to be criticized (rightly) for “making the same sausage and cutting it to different lengths” They all looked the same. Now it

“Women just don’t care that much about you” As I non-vagina owner, this is honestly one of the most important things to learn. Stuff like this keeps me reading Jalopnik- Keep up the good work.

I teach at a small college in a big city, and many of my colleagues ride a bike or bus to work. In that crowd “cars are bad” is kind of the only acceptable opinion, so pretty much all my car opinions are unpopular.

Not gonna say how I voted (could’ve gone either way!), but this is really the perfect NP or CP candidate- kudos to Mr Rob on this nail-biter.

I forgot about the Sky!

Possibly the best Saturn ever. Which would still be a Saturn. CP.

too easy:

No. No car has ever “saved” a relationship (whatever that means.) And contrary to popular humor, no car has ever ruined a relationship either. If you are blaming cars for your troubles, or looking to cars for salvation, you are doing it wrong.

I was living a few blocks from a Toyota Dealer when these came out and I remember thinking that “No one would pay over $20,000 for a Toyota”. What do I know? NP, seems market correct and a pretty safe investment.

Frequently these sort of projects are “great from far, but far from great” This one is sort of the opposite: The detail shots look pretty cool, but back up a few feet and it’s not going to be mistaken for anything worth more than an old Toyota. With paint and “mounted” seats= NP. Right now it’s all the crack

Fantasic news- also, this car looks a bit better with the pseudo-merc emblem in this pic:

Minneapolis Based artist Kate Casanova- Recently used a Pacer to grow mushrooms. I will send this listing to her:

Tom- not (only) trying to be clever here- this is a truly inspired choice. I’m guessing Because Texas, this guy won’t follow your advice and will spend too much money on another damn truck.

Tom McP is the only human I would trust to pick out a car on my behalf. Maybe he could start a business doing this?

Neutral: by putting 3 pedals and a steering wheel in each and every car.

Calm down Mr Sampsonite. It’s hard to imagine modern NASCAR without Jeff Gordon. That said, modern NASCAR is boring AF, and they badly need something other than Austin Cindric et al driving in circles if they want to avoid circling the drain. In no way is NASCAR better off without Danica.

1st gear- Those clever screens/ infotainment systems seem great today, but will look very dated by the time the lease is up (wanna buy my flip phone?). Kind of brings “planned obsolescence” to a new level..

Uh huh- most recently more than a decade ago. And how many tries did that take him? Looking at 2016, your guy has the same # of top-5 finishes that Ms Patrick did. Oh, and which one led more laps that season?

How many Daytona 500 poles has your favorite driver won? That’s right, Dale Jr also has exactly one. And his dad was like some big racing dude from the old days too.

I live with “all the snow” in Minnesota- lifted wagon not needed. Would love to see another non-allroad Audi
