Brett is absolutely my favorite baseball player of all time. (I grew in KC in the 60’s and 70’s.) Unfortunately, every time he opens his mouth, I just cringe. Years of him just saying nonsense stuff is quite unreal. Still, he would be the guy I would want to bat for my team at the bottom of the ninth, even now.

an All-in-1 printer, scanner, fax, etc., only costs $85-$100. Selection of many such printers. Then again I am the type of person who would rather have a multi-use tool than a single use tool of the same size.

Each to their own, but, yeah, euw... Back in the 60’s, the upscale restaurants in the MidWest, at the end of the meal, before dessert, served little towlettes and a cute little cup of soapy water to wash one’s hands. (And this was PRE-BBQ days.) The first time we went to a real nice place, which happened to be named

Interesting take. I was thinking about marketing my own brand of “cure” for depression (mono-polar in my case, or so the psych said) but “Use Meditation for 15 years and YOU TOO will become fairly normal and maybe thinner” will probably not be the most successful campaign ever. Still, whatever works for anyone (has

This situation in Syria kind of reminds me of the Spanish Civil War ( just prior to WWII), from the angle that external factions were actively providing arms to Spanish internal factions. That said, I am certainly no expert on either the Spanish Civil War or the Syrian civil war situation.

Looks like a back passenger’s POV view to me, since you can see the back of the driver’s seat. Or maybe that is just a loaf of French bread in the driver’s lap. (Aren’t the French required to have a loaf of French bread (bagette?) on them or in a bag at all times? Maybe not.)

Perhaps. I say that knowing I bought the All-3-in-1 Bourne trilogy book and had to just put it down forever after just getting about one-third of the way through the first book. What messed me up was that the book was absolutely nothing like the movie. (Obviously, it is a big best-seller so I realize that it’s just

Interesting that I rarely see a DraftKings ad when watching a baseball game (usually the Nats, sometimes the O’s). Thankfully. I wonder why not so much DK for baseball?

Well, to be fair, this is the Blizzard MO, from the days of WoW, Diablo, etc. You have to (they have thought) level up the character (unless, of course, you are willing to fork over $$ to skip all the leveling, which they are perfectly willing to accept, now).

Speaking of starting a new D3 character (assuming you have a level 70 already), due to being able to drop multiple high-end gems into my armor, my character was able to complete the last two acts, for the first time, on Master just as it hit 70. Then, with the level 70 BS patterns, just skipped Torment 1. 390k Damage,

    I feel your pain. Sadly.

Does anyone know if the US (or anyone, really) has done any serious wargaming (like at the US War College, etc.) with a MidEast scenario that includes (or features) the Russians (or China) belligerently entering the fray?

The Opel GT was advertised (in 1971?) as having a 2000 cc. First time I ever realized I had no idea how to convert cc to cu. in.

Curious that noone conjectures that maybe he is already wanted by said police and, for a short while, tried to see if he could avoid two issues, the previous and the present, thus screwing up the third, the future.

People don’t like whiskey usually (if they drink) like Scotch. (& v/v) No idea why. I *love* Scotch. Whiskey makes me gag, literally, even the best. Must be my scottish/mutt blood.

Essentially, I already did. I stopped watching the “news” about a decade ago. (I get my “news” from the BBC online, which has its issues, too, but not as much as our american print/online media.) I do watch my sports teams and the occasional good* stuff. (*Good means I like it and I don’t pretend to have “good

This * a gazillion. Then again, I can only decide whether I wish to be around people by how they act so I absolutely do not want to be in the presence of people who act like assholes. I have a choice. And I choose not to be around people who think this is proper behavior.

Much as I would love to have this car, I suspect the reason it is rust-free is because it hasn’t been driven or even been out in the world. I had an 80 280ZX (fm 86-90) that grew rust faster than I could fix it. So, I would still be worried about rust on that car. (Although I would still love to have my 80 280ZX back.

Well, somewhere here the nats PLAYERS have to held responsible for just out and out sucking after June 1. Maybe the manager thinks they suck, too, but has to play them as they are the players the team saddled him with. The pitching went south (from soup to nuts), and essentially only Harper, Esposito, Robinson, and

I wish I could watch that movie. Heck, I have trouble watching people climb a ladder. lol I missed half of the movie “UP!” ‘cause I had to close my eyes whenever the characters were on the outside of the airplane. Ha!
