Interesting. I drove all around Europe (including rental cars) for 3 years without an IDP. I did hear of it but didn’t know any non-Europeans who went that extra few steps to actually get one.

Totally agreed. The scene in Conan the Destroyer where he fights the statue [Dagobah (sp?)] is a pure-delightful classic. (Was it stop-motion animation?) As good as anything ever done by Harryhausen (imo), if so. We need more Conan movies!
