@QualityJeverage: Yep. This cycle has been happening every time Valve releases a new game: DLC is announced but no pricing is mentioned, fanbase freaks out thinking it will be paid, Valve announces it's free as always and the fans rejoice. Maybe I'll buy a skin to thank Valve for their excellent support.

@VincentGrey: The Wiimote was much more than just button presses, even in the original Wii Sports. If you spend some time with it, you'll see that pretty clearly.

What about Flea from Chrono Trigger? Though Flea is more of a question mark I suppose...

She was much more blatant rather than subtle as in the first game. Still hilarious to me though.

Oh man, and you have some amazing writing coming up still. At the "twist" halfway through the game, the writing and music just come together to make such an incredible moment.

Yeah, almost all of those are first party Nintendo titles. A couple are published and owned by Nintendo, but developed by a second party.

Wario Ware is a stretch to be sure, but the Miis are definitely an IP.

Correct me if I'm wrong on some of these, but since Pikmin, Nintendo has introduced:

Oh brother. My wife is an awesome woman and would not be silly enough to be offended by something like this. I said nothing about her being a woman, just thought it was really cool that she put in some effort into understanding a hobby that I enjoy. Lighten up.

14-day trial but requires a valid credit card number

I sent all the paperwork via courier; not sure why you haven't seen it yet. Expect a summons in the coming weeks.

Touche. The gloves have, how you say, come off? A gentleman's duel shall commence

@MSnap: I too enjoy Valve & Nintendo games more than most other developers. I'm not on here much but good to see you here.

My wife started and finished Portal 1 yesterday and is starting Portal 2 today. My wife is better than yours.

When Valve uses the revenue generated to release free co-op map packs and challenge levels, I think minds will change about the inclusion of the "hat" DLC.

Just like the No One Lives Forever games

@klewd: He is referring to the gestures in Portal 2, I'm sure, gestures which don't affect gameplay at all and are completely unnecessary to enjoy the game.

It didn't originally launch with that though. In fact I think it came bundled with CS: Source.

I'll believe that when I see it. The statement probably refers more to integrating co-op than abandoning single-player stories altogether, but I get the feel that it's an off-the-cuff remark rather than a broad business strategy. Remember how Half-Life 2 shipped with no multiplayer component whatsoever? Probably
