My "dual-analog stick experiences" are usually comprised of fighting against the dang things to get my reticule where I want it. That being said, they work pretty well for third-person platformers.

You're going to want a beefy processor, so I'd stick with the Pentium II series. there's not much else out there right now that competes with it. AMD is alright but probably won't be around for much longer. I would stick to this baseline for specs:

@mrClint: Going off what Ueziel said, buy the Septerra Core/Shogo dual pack off Amazon. I haven't played Shogo, but SC is fantastic.

So, before the Gawker attack, I was posting an older game every day so we could remember those games that sometimes get forgotten. Got locked out of my account for awhile, but now I'm back!

@Ueziel: I love Red Steel 2. The controls are perfect.

@Toshi: Monday/Wed/Friday I wake up at 6:15 or so. Tues/Thurs I drive to a different location for work so I get up at 5:15.
