Are you kidding?

You gotta stop turning it into race on the other side, though. “Taylor Swift’s forgettable collection of white-angst ditties . . .”

Good point, it’s culturalism. It’s my fault for not identifying how racism is not, in fact, about culture, and vice-versa (necessarily). I thought about this. It’s lazy to just say racism when it’s a joke about how someone’s religion is a minority, or supposed. Religion is different than race, I mean it.

Good point, but then, is a racist going to take any joke, well?

Like, you can joke about racism and not have it be racism, and that seems a good example, to me, of how that would work.

That was a good joke about the racism, not the racism.

I like this: “If there’s any horror in this single-take tour of the wasteland, it’s buried under multiple coats of gee-whiz earnestness.”

20 percent, I mean, come on. The drinks are already way overpriced for what they are, and then sometimes literally all the bartender has to do is pour the beer and come over. I get, for fancy drink orders and maybe a crowded bar, that they would have some challenge to do what I’m asking, but come on, how much are we

And how about, for “white privelege,” that you focus on the actual problem, black oppression, rather than saying that white people shouldn’t be treated well. Shouldn’t it be that all of us aren’t treated well, rather than that the black people want the white people now to feel pain?

“Nothing upsets the #NotRacist stomach more than hearing the phrase “white people” used in any capacity. Only the term “white privilege” causes more consternation.”

You could say the same thing about women and how they view men as these stupid, emotionally stunted child babies who they play with and then throw out in the gutter, you know?

Dude, these are movies about something. They are about what they are about, not about white people. That would be the same as saying Moonlight is about black people. They are about more than that.

I mean, I think he has a lot to add to the discussion. And good point, if it’s not new, it’s not new, but every week, his New Rules seems to say exactly what I’ve been thinking, in terms of X, Y, and Z (democrats eating their own young [or old] to try to beat Republicans [”Nancy Pelosi is a villain (even though she

That is a good point, and thank you for making it. I get it, obviously there is a difference, but this society seems headed toward a crazy place where even an accusation of anything is enough to get you marred (excuse my French) for life, and I just feel like it’s going too far, in terms of the hysteria over things

“To say showing someone like Billy Bush, who was, come on, in an off-camera taping with one of the biggest stars of the network and being polite to him, on your show is some kind of capital offense is just crazy.”

Bill Maher has firm ethical values! The truth, the fucking truth! Have you all gone fucking insane? He has said, “We should be loyal to principles, not people,” more times than I can count, and he is always the first to say that Trump is bad for doing something while, imagine that, also saying that you fuckers burning

Are you kidding? Like, seriously, this guy sometimes points out that terrorism has to do with religion, that sometimes sexual harassment should not be treated as rape (i.e., if Al Franken hugs someone and makes them feel uncomfortable, he should go away forever, right? Wrong), that the society we have built on killing

To reduce his contribution to television to saying that the people watching him just “hope . . . [he] won’t use a racial slur, belittle the #MeToo movement or an entire religion, or find smirky solidarity with a self-promoting white supremacist” is to miss his entire point and to make it for you without even knowing

.

Meh.
