It’s a minivan. It has sliding doors. It’s van-shaped. Save it for the “what’s the best van of all time” QOTD.

Its still there because, last I’d heard, they couldn’t figure out how to de-energize the battery(s).”

EVs get a lot of hate but lets look at things objectively. (Hint - there are many types of EVs out there.)

I pasted this a bit lower, but except for the leaf, I think most battery degradation is reasonable — I see values like ~10% range loss after 5-6 years and 150k miles. Here’s a Tesla chart from some EV website:

I own a EV and only charge through a 120V outlet.

The battery in the EV is part of the drivetrain. It’s like saying, “imagine if my 10-speed automatic transmission was trashed and I couldn’t go to Walmart and buy a replacement in an emergency”

I rent my house and can’t add a charger either. Which is why I charge my EV from the 220v 30a dryer outlet in the garage.

1) You may not need to add anything. A standard wall outlet will charge a car enough overnight for most people’s use. If you have a dryer outlet in a garage or similar, you’re golden.

2) As a landlord over a number of properties myself, I’ve told my tenants point blank that if any of them ever want a plug-in car, I’ll

That is taking into account all EV’s, including $200k+ Taycans and Lucids.  If you look at the sales leader, Tesla, I bet their average sales price is very nearly $48k, maybe lower.  Tax incentives shave even more off.  In another 10 years, used EV’s will be plentiful and anybody that wants one will be able to afford

And three, I really need Joe Biden to cancel student debt.

These are awesome, I don’t understand why they are so undervalued but won’t complain.

Get yourself what’s probably the prettiest car to ever have a V8, the last gen Aston Martin Vantage.

Lexus RC-F 500HP and bigger than the IS500, 50K for this one

I would be interested to hear the numbers on (a) how many people use a public charger once a week or month and (b) how many people depend on them for 100% of their charging needs.   I have 7k miles on m BEV and have never had to plug in anywhere but my house, but I have my wifes car when we take road trips so its for

Honestly, I think the dog is in better hands. Hoping it gets adopted by a loving family real soon. Horrible, horrible thing to do to it.

People always want to compare charging in a car with filling a gas car. But you can’t fill a car with gas where you park at night or during the day at work or whatever. You *have* to stop at a special place to put gas into it.

and the invasion occurs in a manner that is offensive to a reasonable person.”

When you purchase land in California, the air space above the land is typically considered to be part of the public domain and is not included as part of the property ownership. This is known as the “ad coelum doctrine”, which states that land ownership does not extend upward indefinitely. However, property owners do
