I had one and hauled stuff many times and it worked great.  Full sheets of plywood and drywall fit perfect with the gate at half lock.  Just I couldn’t put 2k lbs of gravel in it for 2 4wheelers but not everyone needs a huge truck.  I think the solutions they have make the smaller bed very useful 

My favorite part was when I get where I’m going I just hit the start stop button to shut the car off and it also puts it in Park.  Loved that little damn truck!

I had a Maverick for almost 5,000 miles (until someone hit it, RIP) and never had an issue with the shifter.  Never shifted into Park on accident.  I think you’re trying to make a problem out of sometime that everyone gets used in in less than a day.

Agreed! the H6 Outback and Legacy have become a bit of a holy grail in the Subaru world and people that have them tend to hold on to them.  Those were amazing vehicles and don’t leak as much as all the other ones lol
