We had one come through the shop this week for a warranty repair. Tech was following some tires and found a water line under the dash. Sorry bud, you got fucked by a used car lot.

Porsche had a “Liquid Metal” silver on the 918 that was a $63k option.  Or they would paint it whatever color you would think of for $100k.

I bought a Vmax from a guy who couldn’t get it running for a song. Got it home and realized the fuel line wasn’t connected to the carb, fired right up!! That was a very lucrative flip.

Saving a few thousand to have a brand new car with ZERO warranty wouldn’t be worth it IMO.  Unless you live in Detroit or somewhere else close to the border and can cross over for any warranty issues.  But US dealers cannot do anything to your ride under warranty because the VIN was built for Canada

I listen to the whole thing and there was some great information but what now? Facebook pays some fines, says they will do better and everyone moves on? Neutral:I feel I am the “car guy” in ever social group I’m a part of. I am always helping relatives, friends, friends of relatives and co-workers find the right car.  It’s normally not a bad thing, even if they don’t get what I recommend there is always the “I told you so” when shit goes wrong and they wonder why.

They are so boring they are selling them faster than they can make them. Even before the pandemic they were selling so fast there were always supply issues. They aren’t super creative, or reliable for that matter, but they still sell like crazy.

They are like pieces or art bought to look at and brag about until they are worth double what you paid and then you sell to someone else who wants to look at it for a few years.  That said I would have a stable of exotics if I hit the lotto, these cars are way cooler to look at than most art.
