This wasn't Moffat, though. in fact, I noticed his name wasn't in the "and Steven Moffat" writing credit. It was a guy I'd never heard of named Jamie Mathieson. I'm now a fan of his.

I wasn't disappointed. Twelve's already been shown to be ruthless in his own way. The moment he took it upon himself to stand in as victim of the Mummy, I was like "There he is. There's The Doctor. He's finally here." If he had let everyone else die in this episode it would have ruined it for me.
