And I have always been critical of that lazy kind of writing as well. SEE ALSO: Russel T Davies and some of Pip and Jane Baker's nonsense.

I use my "willing suspension of disbelief" to be okay with a time machine that's bigger on the inside and a two-thousand-year-old time traveling alien. Unless we're dealing with a universe with no rules and thus no consequences, it doesn't stretch to tell me to just swallow everything on the screen when it contradicts…
"I guess physics is easier to grasp than biology when you live in your parents' basement"
Fair enough. I honestly wasn't sure, as I remember hearing recordings of the Houston and the Apollo astronauts talking, but never knew if there was a delay since I never heard it live.
Fair enough. I respect you have a different opinion. But, the history of the show has shown us The Doctor is an alien and makes alien choices at times. I think the people who seem to see it your way are the fans that are used to the "boyfriend" incarnations of post-2005. But Hartnell, Pertwee, Baker, Colin,…
"Pompeii is not equal to the moon exploding." Not for the purpose of the plot of the show, as the Pompeii explosion would have changed the course of human history, just like this.
LOL!! Oh dear. Seems someone hangs on my every word and thus is personally affected by my opinions. ;) You can whine and complain about my opinion all you want. I am under no obligation to frame what I say in a way you personally find digestible. If you don't agree with my opinion, you have the right to debate me on…
Agreed. That's what the episode seemed to be saying.
*Moment of silence as Jerry and George contemplate the loss*
If you can't handle the heat, get out of the TARDIS. Doctor ain't got no time for whiners… lol ;)
"Yeah, science can be pretty soft in this show, but when it's basic shit, it throws me out of the show because I'm too busy being irritated with the writers being stupid and apparently thinking I'm too stupid to notice it."
Nice. If you read that as "being an asshole", I'd have to ask who you think I'm being an asshole to? The Doctor? He's fictional. Clara? Also not real. The show? It's inanimate. Moffat? Didn't mention him. So, maybe it's just YOU reading into what you want and allowing the fact I see things differently from you affect…
It's certainly not my sole criteria, but it doesn't have to be to be a valid part of that criteria. ;)
"Welcome to the TARDIS. Travel with me, and things like cleaning up after your puppy goes up to 12…" ;)
If they're not going to ref Ian during Caretaker, I wouldn't hold my breath. :(
If you say so. That's your opinion. I don't remember Ten warming Donna up to stand with him at Pompeii. In fact, he didn't even ask her to do so. She chose to do so, because she was dependable and trustworthy, and didn't have a nervous breakdown afterwards. As for Clara folding, she did fold. She asked the Earth to…
Exactly. It not only contradicted what we, simple humans at least know about our own moon and Earth, but it contradicted ITSELF within the episode. Hard to hold any sense of urgency or consequence when the episode can't seem to lock into what the problem actually is…
….I'm not sure I follow. Are we discussing how the moon interacts with the Earth and its tides, and how the concept changed again within that same episode? Because that's along the lines of what I was talking about.
LOL!! Well, when presented with opinions and facts I don't like, I too love to take the normal Secondary-Route and try to ridicule the person themselves. It gets me high-fives and helps me avoid any points they make. That way I can be involved, too! ;)
LOL! Your opinion is noted. But, not really taken seriously as what you are saying doesn't amount to much more than "Nuh-Uh YOU ARE!" Either equality is equality, or it's not. No free passes. Thanks for adding your feelings into the subject at hand. ;)
