Or nerds who like comprehensible stories that make any form of sense vs nerds who will twist every scene into an imaginary angle that helps it make any sense whatsoever? ;)

All the Companions are the second-billed character. So why she gets the starring role, I can't quite get a grip on.

I love how anytime they totally ignore known science and physics of at least the 20th century, suddenly it's dismissed with "Oh, it's Doctor Who he has a time machine, etc., etc." Either there are boundaries and rules to work within the confines of the narrative, or it's ALL fucking magic and simply meaningless. Like

……are we really going to judge shows by their titles now? ;)

I was hoping she would slap him so he could turn around and slap her right back. Where the hell does she get off judging The Doctor for ANYthing? Ridiculously contrived to make her seem "important". Just like every single other episode of this series. The Doctor should have told her to shove up her ass and then kicked

A? Wow. Can't take that seriously.

Exactly!! The 30 Rock reviews are what lead me to this site in the first place! How dare I'm left hanging. AV KNOWS how I love my Big Beef and Cheddar!!

And girls used to look down on boys for drooling over supermodels. Nice to see things have swapped…. ;)

I think we, of all races, creed, and background agree on one thing:

"But accepting that lack of change, I can"

'Hate' is a strong word, and my reasons for disliking this direction and take on the character is various and wordy (as you've probably already read). But yes, it's a shame they would rather reduce her to this than what she had become. But again, I'm probably in the minority.

{However I wouldn't say being a college girl automatically makes her any less important or interesting than being a librarian or a "symbol of handi-capable perseverance".}

That's valid, but let's face it. It's not about that at all. It's about copyright. DC could have continued to progress, allow other characters to inhabit the Batgirl trademark, and Barbara could have aged on as Oracle, and you could have the same storyline with Cassandra or Spoiler. Dick Grayson could have taken over

My withdrawals from the lack of update is coinciding with my time off from any real work right now. So it kills me to come here every day while I have plenty of time and find that Erik Adams is still missing…. :(

LOL! It was an exaggeration. I was just being snarky. ;)

Probably doesn't help they're run by a massive corporate entity that inherently leans Conservative. "How would we market it to 'the kids' and make movies if she's…gasp!……GAY?!"

Amen brother! We can all find The Shat's delivery pretty funny (moreso in the 60's than, say, modern times with BOSTON LEGAL and a lot of the Trek movies themselves). But in that scene, he was acting his ass off. The power behind his eulogy was, at first simple, respectful, and professional. And then at that last

1) The death of Spock in WRATH OF KHAN still gets me teary. But it's not so much his death as seeing and hearing the normally ridiculous Shatner's voice break during his eulogy at the word "Human".

Me too, but I use Liz Lemon's PC to do it.

Speaking of MARVEL, did you ever try the early Marvel Knights DAREDEVIL with David Mack, Quesada, and Kevin Smith? I loved that little pocket run. Also enjoyed the later Bendis/Maleev era as well. Just reminded me of that for some reason.
