I was rather impressed that N'Gai was able to get the domain when he first disclosed the name to me years ago. Must have been fate!

Yup, great example!

My point exactly!

Short form - Comcast's cost to deliver service over continues to drop, and they charge more over time.

100% agree - real competition would solve this issue for once and for all.

100% agree - real competition would help solve this issue. But the FCC hasn't been able to move on this as much as I'd like to see.

Nope. I am hopping on some open access points near my house, and also working from coffee shops as I often do. But I currently have no paid internet at the house.

I would love to have access to AT&T broadband - sadly, it's just not an option here in Seattle!

@Who wants toast?: i wasn't trying to be an asshole or anything, Just wanted to make sure MY facts were right. I'm fucking exhausted too from trying to stay up to date on this story.

@Shinta: YUUUUUP! I'm having trouble coming to grips with legitmate new sources since i'm used to "news sources' that create news rather than simply report it. This is a wonderful discovery for me..

@Warbly: Yeah its pretty amazing how fast things can change, and thats a fantastic parallel to draw between Egypt and the Ivory Coast.

@Shinta: There are a couple of good egypt threads earlier in the post. if you are interested and scrolling down

@Who wants toast?: For what its worth... Where are you getting those numbers. Last cited numbers were at 24 killed and 1000+ injured.

@Warbly: I would agree with you they are most powerful ally in Northern Africa which is a hotbed of unrest right now, which the US needs to be under control so they can continue to use the Suez canal.

@Menolly: Yeah we are allied with him, but I don't think it is going to extend much past the phone call between Mubarak and Obama shortly before Mubarak dissolved the government.

@Warbly: It would appear as thought he has fallen out of favor with the US as the "we are going to reevaluate the aid we provide him" and the "restore the inforrmation infrastructure"and the general "don't make promises you can't keep' statements issuing from the white house today.

@Menolly: Its unlikely the US will get involved. If the administration comes out in support of one side or the other, it will mess with a lot of our foreign policy in that region.

Regarding Egypt: I've been glued to my computer all evening for two days now with Al Jazeera English streaming constantly. here's what I've been thinking about in regards to it. ( Other than just taking it all in watching history be written)

@KingKirby: When was the last time you saw a status update from farmville?
