You make such a great point! I hate that just being a woman is so damn political.

So much this.

LOL.

Absolutely! Since getting my mirena it has definitely diminished. My mental health is pretty bad though due to chronic mental illness so that can also be a factor. Unmedicated I am “hyper sexualised” (I fon’t like that term but it’s pretty accurate”.

Yes. I have a little stairwell between my work area and another that no one can see. I sometimes take that time to whimper and sniffle before I have to put my “i’m a functioning adult” face back on!

Oh, that’s my problem, I can’t use tampons :( so jelly of yor bath having abilities!

Rude and immature happens when all you see is young women trying to force their narrative onto ALL women. I’d like you To actually show me the rude OR immature part of my response though. Is it because I swore? I know some people find that super confronting. But really, I still stand by it.

I’m not really the, you know, “earth mother” type and I do use hormonal BC but for BC not for menstrual control and a lot of women are super shocked that I actually struggle not getting my period (i have mirena IUD) because it makes it so hard to track my cycle and as someone with endio/PCOS tracking my cycle is an

I’m Australian, I couldn’t give two fucks whatever idiot Americans elect as president.

They are mildly horrendous. I have an IUD now which helped infinitely with the pain. I do wish they would just rip it out but I am “too young” and I might want more babies or some shit.

Fuck that “not an excuse” noise. Some women literally cannot move when they are menstruating. YOUR experience isn’t everyone’s. It’s nice that you find it “empowering” but a lot of us find it an excruciating process.

Endo sufferer here. I function but I wouldn’t say “well” :p

It bothered me too. I have my period right now so obvs her and me are twinsies. I struggled to get through work let alone an Olympic event!

There is definitely a subset of women who believe that unless you are 100% controlling your cycle with BC ten you’re womaning incorrectly!

Thank-You! I couldn’t figure out what bothered me so much about those stupid comments. It also assumes that hormonal birth control actually allows ALL women to do that. Until my IUD my period came no matter what, even if I didn’t miss my pill. Sometimes nature just won’t be fucked with!

Personal question: is your period heavy? I literally bleed in massive clots for 5 days when I din’t have an IUD. I tried to bath once and just... No! (For me) Like sharing a bath with my period clots is a level of comfort I have never attained :p

It might raise red flags. He might raise flags and I goes completely against my instinct as a carer to let a client go anywhere unsupervised or in the care of people who might harm them. I’d love to say that i’m so amazing that nothing like this would ever happen under my watch BUT I just... Don’t know? It’s not a

Happens to the best of us! I work with disabled adults and one of my pet peeves is the way that they are constantly infantilised (women) and sometimes demonised (mostly men). Like the idea of them being sexual creatures is repulsive to a lot of neurotypical adults.

At 18 she is an adult. Disabled people still have the right to date and find life partners, their disability doesn’t preclude that.

If they were trying to emphasise that a black person won then why did they mention the white person BY NAME?
