“This is yet another horrific reminder of the predators existing online in police forces who prey on our children,” the Riverside police chief said. “If you’ve already had a conversation with your kids on how to be safe online around membres of law enforcement and on social media, have it again. If not, start it

Matt Gatez is probably in charge of this agency.

That voice!

Interestint, I’ll have too see if I land there next time I watch it. My memory of the final third centers on that last scene, which is fucking killer.

It’s a really well done, imaginative movie. It did strike me as pretty of its time dealing with the racial elements. Black characters tend to be types, functional to the plot but not fleshed out, and acting as a sort hive mind at the end when they all parade out in tribute to someone who is, by that point, an

They hit a home run when they cast Tony Todd.

It’s been 20+ years since I saw this movie and I can still vividly remember the score, and how terrifying Tony Todd’s character was. The direct sequel done by Jordan Peele in 2021 was incredibly well done, and almost as scary.

To this day, one of the very best horror films - and very much a “real movie.” Wonderful to see Rose still giving interviews about it.

It’s a mark of how effective that film was that even though I know (hope?) it was complete fiction, there’s no way I’m saying even once let alone five times you know what into a mirror.

I’m guessing Cindy has a nice glass shower door that doesn’t need a shower curtain.

Oh you’re still using the old transistor shower curtains, aren’t you?  Get with the times, grandpa!

I look at you all, see the love there that’s sleeping

No charges pressed against a man who wanted to blow up his own mother. Sure. Great. Superb. Glad to know this could have been avoided, but law enforcement did the absolute least. I know the mother would have to press charges in most cases, but wouldn’t something like this go to the DA? Maybe someone smarter than me

I grew up in the town where Randy Voepel was mayor from 2000 - 2016, Santee, CA.

When my parents first moved there in the 1970's, Santee still had incidents of cross burnings going on. The KKK had a headquarters on the far side of town at a place called the Kentucky Stud. When I was attending high school in the early

I suppose we’ll find out, but I would be a bit surprised if a CO sheriff cared what a CA state assemblyman had to say about the matter. The county is a “2nd Amendment sanctuary” so my guess is that his attitude was simply “white dudes gonna white dude” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

“There are right wingers everywhere, & safety isn’t guaranteed just because you live in a blue state.”

I have no doubt, that as this unfolds, we will find out that he’s exhibited all the classic signs we’ve been told to look for, that he was ‘of concern’ to someone, and that this was very preventable.

From the greys:

No sympathy for ANYONE living in the right wing hellhole that people call Colorado. You are gambling with your life when you share space with murderous MAGAts, espcially if you are LGBTQ. Gathering at a gay club is basically taunting these unhinged cis white male terrorists. Fuck CO with a broken pool

I’ve never even been to Pandemia!

One question: What role, if any, did his grandfather have in getting those initial kidnapping/terrorist threats charges dropped and getting the records sealed?
