Congestion pricing zones have proved to work in cities around the world. London’s congestion charge zone has been in effect for 20 years.

I think the Rimac was supposed to be the fastest production EV but who knows if it was in production spec. I don’t think the Mcmurty that ran at Goodwood was in production spec(tires) and it is not being sold yet.
It’s got to be a FWD Corolla. The epitome of why manufacturers wanted to go FWD. A cheap, mass produced car that is seemingly indestructible, can be found everywhere but offers great value.
Yikes. I know they don’t really play baseball in France but throwing small round balls is pretty universal stuff. That’s gotta be one of the worst throws by a potential NBA star I have ever seen. However, still not as bad as John Wall’s first pitch.
It feels like all EV manufacturers are saying this. I really don’t need a car that accelerates 0-60 in 2s and needs concrete suspension to control its increased weight.
I know that Acura has always tried to be sporty but I want something more RL like in its disposition.
EVs still need maintenance.
Toyota hybrids don’t seem to have service cost issues.
Not a surprising list. These are popular games in general. I just wish people would stop playing Madden. It’s not good, EA doesn’t seem serious about improving it and I doubt another studio has the pockets to do a deal for a NFL license.
a day of performance driving instruction at a race track.
That said, Electreon did claim that it needed the assistance of quite a few drivers — 55 in all.
Maybe they should just sponsor the race instead and get them to change to their plant based alternative.
Most of the new luxury dealerships near me are the big multi level indoor warehouse things and for the most part they keep all of their inventory inside. I wonder if this was in response to risks like this.
The engine rebuild is not as ridiculous as it could be. IIRC, the Ferrari F50 has to have its carbon fibre tub replaced every 10 years because of epoxy degradation. 30k mileage in a hypercar is like 300 years of driving.
I didn’t read the proposal but looking at improving AEB is fine but the uptick in pedestrian fatalities seems to have followed the trend of increased sales of crossovers, SUVs and trucks. Maybe, a look at redesigning the front ends of large vehicles would be a better idea.
Does this guy live in Oakland?
He’s lucky that all that happened to him was he wrecked his Jeep.
Imagine if that was school crosswalk. Kid sees one lane stop and they take off running or a kid behind on their bike flies through at top speed because they think traffic is stopped.
Every driver hates it, but if you drive over the speed limit, your suspension is toast...
I think this is just pragmatic planning on their part. When you’re a relatively small country, and I think, a quarter of your federal government revenue comes from oil and gas. That they know won’t last forever. They decided to invest that money into electrification of their economy. However, it is not like Norway is…
Doesn’t it seem that way?
Let’s make sure we move everything out of Oakland and make sure it can’t come back.
