To engage a wider audience.
I miss the old Hockenheim layout. IIRC, they got rid of the forest section straight because spectators didn’t like not being able to see the car through that bit. I never got the vibe that the fans disliked that thought. I always remember the air horns and fireworks going off as the pack came out of the forest.
This reminds me of the people that live in the south and always wonder why I live in the north-east but then they spend 99% of their life inside, air conditioned and under artificial light. While, I can be outside all day without spontaneously combusting.
The Subaru Legacy barely sells. Subaru does call it the SUV of sedans though. Maybe Toyota wants some of the same success?
I never knew that Toronto was supposed to get an F1 race. Thanks for the article!
The Toronto Indy was one of the best races for CART. Things have slipped since the CART-IRL split but it feels like IndyCar has been on the rise the last few years. It’ll be interesting to see the crowd this year.
I got to hear this in person at the 1995 Montreal GP. Definitely, the best sounding car of those mixed cylinder engine formulas. I took a VHS-C camcorder and remember every time an F1 car went by it vibrated the recording head and the video would go scrambled.
I haven’t seen one in person but that sounds awesome. Not sure how big of audience will appreciate that though. If it just a had a bit better performance numbers to compete with the Germans. However, it probably will last and be relatively problem free for decades.
I think it is more about giving the workers at the Performance Manufacturing Center to do. It’s not like the NSX is flying off the lot.
I have a feeling that Hamilton has been doing more of the development\experimental work with the car and that combined with some bad luck has made it look like he has been underperforming or having a tough time. He’s had a couple of good races and Russell has been experiencing some bad luck recently.
Anyways, still a l…
Closet new thing would probably be the Ford Transit Connect but the short answer is no. I assume you live in North America. Another option would be a used Mazda 5. Although, if you’re willing to import you can go down the crazy kei van route(Suzuki Every).
So are they going to start letting F1 cars up the hill again?
Canada is one of the more consistently enjoyable races to watch and this wasn’t a disappointment with fights up and down the grid. Redbull just seems to have that extra bit of speed in their car that Ferrari can’t match at the moment. I knew that Alonso would never send one on the first turn against Max.
Fuel cell electric and there are the ICE counterparts(mostly diesel electrics) that drive an electric generator then that electric power turns an electric motor.
I remember being very wet.
I remember people were laughing and smiling while taking pics in front of tire marks where he crashed.
Yep, on Lexus cars I think they look fine. However, on their SUV/crossovers it doesn’t feel right.
IMO, not really. Sedans still have the best seats and seating positions. I find that people with bigger mid sections usually have the biggest issues with being comfortable in a sedan.
What? Never had an issue getting in and out of a sedan.
