“Safe space” pisses people off for the same reason that gluten-free and man buns do: namely, no reason at all. If a group needs a safe space, and it is literally a space that they go to feel safe, why on earth do you need to be in that space doing things that make them feel unsafe?

It’s easy - just make it a sometimes thing instead of an all-the-time thing, and make sure it’s purposeful. They have decades after they’re 12 to mindlessly go about the internet trolling, commenting on Kinja and telling “faggot newbs” to “suck dicks in hell” after they die to a sick headshot.

You forget that many essential systems and infrastructure have been put online and foolishly set up to not work without access. There would be widespread panic, a breakdown of public services and an economic depression that makes the 1930s look like a day at the spa.

The cure to life is death. This attitude of medical professionals reflects the pharmaceutical companies’ belief that diseases aren’t meant to be cured, just managed.
