Look on the bright side... Without a new book telling them what to do, maybe the writers on the show will have the guts to do the one thing Martin apparently refuses to do:

I blame Benioff and Weiss for creating the show too soon so that it would overtake the finishing of the series. (I don’t really blame them as they’ve done a pretty good adaptation.) Writing is very hard; writing thousand page novels every few years is harder. The author has to go on his own pace to ensure quality…

So, interesting, because the original was SUPER compressed to fit on the disc and the original pre render 3d work was all HD smooth and nice, but who knows if they lost those files and if they’ll be in there, i doubt it.
