Oh, do people do that? My 5yo is obsessed with dogs. Obsessed. She's been trained to ask people beforehand for since she was walking and talking. She's very good about it when someone explains the dog is too skittish. Who would want their kids running up to dogs without asking if they were friendly? Sheesh.
