I am always so surprised at how gentle, low-impact yet effective yoga is. I like power vinyasa the best (and it is a real asskicker of a workout) but it might not be good for you with knee trouble. But the gentler hatha yoga is still great for toning and tightening everything up. I wish you all the luck!
