The Jalopnik site Foxtrot Alpha is running stories this week for the 25th anniversary of Desert Storm. The first song played on Armed Forces Radio in the Persian Gulf was Rock the Casbah by The Clash. According to a few sites, Joe Strummer wasn’t happy about it being used as a rally cry.
