I used to hate LCD because of the washed out blacks due to backlight, LED backlight helps a little bit. I think that most of us have just gotten used to it now. When OLED displays become cheap enough, LCD is going to die. I seriously cannot wait for this to happen.

Thunderbolt 2 is 20 Gb/s, while PCIe 2.0 x8 is 32 Gb/s. Assuming they make Thunderbolt 3 and it doubles bandwidth yet again, then it'd sit at 40 Gb/s. They could theoretically use two cables to get double the bandwidth, so then we're at 80 Gb/s. Should be plenty bandwidth I think. Most video cards don't come close to

They should make an external graphics option over thunderbolt, like what Alienware just announced for their laptop. This would make 5K bearable. 5K with the discount graphics just doesn't make sense.
