Julie is an amazing person and watching the utter shit she’s gotten reporting on the Patrick Kane situation is incredible. She shared the story of her rape with Deadspin and got shit for it. She puts herself out there to help other women every single day and gets the most disgusting shit spewed at her.

I still remember being 27 and the first day on the job as a webmaster for an MLB team. I was responding to fan feedback emails regarding questions about the new sites. I responded to a completely normal question about the format of the schedule, but made the mistake of leaving my signature line on the email response

Thank you for this video. Those tweets are vile and wrenching. And the reactions of all of the participants in the video (the men and yourself) made me want to cry AND hug everybody involved. Thank you for raising awareness of both the vile nature of online harassment AND showing us decent men’s reactions to it.

Furthermore, I have always wondered, since there was a bit of controversy about professional female reporters in the locker room in the late 80s/early 90s, what the big deal was. They just have a job to do, let them do it.

Now I see what the big deal is. The big deal is that every female sports journalist is a god

Incredibly thick skin. My husband says he prefers female sportswriters. They know more than their male counterparts; are actual journalists; not former players; report the goings on of the sports world and don’t make it all about themselves. As an avid sports fan myself, I completely agree with him.

Thanks for having the courage to do this exercise and shine a light on this disgusting behavior. No one (except for Dick Cheney) deserves to be treated this way.

Reconfirms my beliefs that 1) Most men are not rapists and 2)The non-rapist men really need to understand that they have to step up an call out jerks like the ones who wrote you those disgusting tweets.
Thanks for creating & posting-this took guts all around.

I didn’t know Julie DiCaro before this, but she comes across really well, and I’m sorry she has been, and will continue to be, subjected to this invective.

I see this all the time with Jessica Mendoza being added as a color analyst for Baseball Tonight. Men talk about how much they “hate that bitch” and complain about how terrible she is. Of course ask them to actually explain how she is terrible and why they hate her and they can’t form any coherent reason. She knows

really? #notallmen is your response?

And believe me, we realize this is just two, white sports reporters, and that the problem is much MUCH bigger, especially for women of color. Just trying to speak to what we can.

at least Rita is finally providing an adequate answer to the question who the hell is Rita Ora?

I wasn’t a fan of the Rita Who joke until Mr Cherry and I had a Fast & Furious marathon. After one scene I said “I think that was Rita Ora,” and he (unironically, he does not read Jez) replied “Rita who?” and I about died laughing for reasons I could not explain without sounding crazier.

Stylists aren’t bad dressers. They just take more risks.

Poor Rita...but least she isn’t getting confused with another Rita, like Rachel Roy and Rachel Ray.

Meh... it be like that sometimes. She also styles Kelly Rowland who looks impeccable 100% of the time. I remember Rachel Zoe had a show on Bravo a few years ago where everyone she styled always looked great but she consistently looked like she was drowning in over-sized clothes, complete with ornate fur, fringe,

there are so many times where my husband jokes that he wonders if other people think we are fighting because I am so expressive and intense lol

No vegan diet NO VEGAN POWERS

I mean, if he’s actually been sleeping with other people, that’s not exactly unjustified jealousy or distrust. He’s apparently not trustworthy. But she did decide to stay (maybe because she’s been with him since she was 20?).

There’s a whole part of Lemonade where you see footage of Beyonce’s grandmother speaking at birthday party about how she took the lemons life gave her and made lemonade. So it’s an homage to grandmotherly advice. The rest of the album is about getting a raw deal relationship-wise and choosing to let love prevail over
