I think those are good things, to change one’s mind or bow to one’s constituents. I’ve always felt like we should walk away from the originally Republican point of “flip-flopping.”
When she talks policy, I am a fangirl. I love smart people so much, it makes me woozy.
Never change.
Kudos to you for writing an entire article about this film, about girls in New York City, including one named Lena, and not referencing...
What all the articles are missing is a key point - Bee Shaffer (Anna’s daughter) used to intern for Ricky Van Veen and College Humor in 2009. Ricky’s been in the fam for a while, so Anna should know him and/or his behaviors well ;)
I’m going to ignore the stupidity of everything else you wrote and focus on one thing you mentioned: black on black crime doesn’t exist.
Are you seriously #notallwhitepeople-ing on this post? What.
It’s amazing that in 2016, someone could purposely not understand the meaning of an article with that title and why switching it to “Good Black People” would necessarily be a very, very different thing.
I mean, did you even read the essay?
AVOCADOS ARE ROUGHAGE.
I think there’s a weird media echo-chamber effect happening here. Young people see dickish media articles ragging on them. Young writers fail to recognize dickish media writers are not the same as older co-workers. Young writers conflate dickish media writers with older co-workers. Young writers then create articles…
I agree - knowing Keown wrote this made it even harder to read. What the fuck happened to him?
That is certainly borne out by the available evidence.
Why do you hate America?
Yeahhhh, he's a little too into his kid.
To me, he sounds much more like Mitch Albom — the sing songy cadences mixed with abrupt single word sentences, the stupid rhetorical questions that are mostly designed to evade responsibility for wholeheartedly endorsing a hacknied imagined idea of old fashioned values, all wrapped up in smarmy self congratulatory…
I was working in/around baseball (either for a club or covering one) from about 2008-2012 and I saw a decent amount of kids. I can only assume it’s a recent development. But yeah. Clubhouses are weird, weird places. I can’t imagine anyone wanting their kid to be in that environment.
I imagine while Drake was still young - elementary-school age, etc - it was fine. Cute, even. TBH most of the kids who I saw in clubhouses were essentially too young to really have a grasp on the situation, so I assume while he was still within that age it didn’t matter so much. But now that he’s about to enter high…
Buncha comments about dude’s boners right next to comments by women about how fucking nausea-inducingly terrible this is. THANKS DUDES WITH BONERS.
