Mestiza Latina here. No, I don’t find it offensive and neither do any of my friends and family. I’ve been called a white Latina and identifying as mestiza lets people know I also have indigenous blood and I embrace it.

Can’t really speak to that. It’s definitely not common in the US overall, though I assume you would encounter it more in areas with larger Hispanic and indigenous populations.

Shipman was my Fiance’s Doctor when he was a kid. He was safe though, cos not an OAP obvs. Still creeps me out though, it seems like a lot of people in the Hyde area were effected by him. Actually, Fiance’s mum and older sister both worked in OAP Homes, and knew several of the people he killed. It’s so sad.
