You’re describing every restaurant I go to. I walk out of the local vegetarian kosher place near where I work with a fake chicken burger and some onion rings, and it’s $20+. The shwarma place near where I live is even more absurd. The only reason we ever order pizza is because I’m too lazy to make it - and that may

Using the book of Daniel as a starter template makes sense. It was a VERY popular book back in ancient times, and spawned all sorts of interesting fan fiction (literally parts of the apocrypha).

I stay on the Strip relatively frequently for work, and you are 110% correct on this one. I barely want to be on those bridges on an average weekend; it’d be absolutely terrifying if you had a few hundred people just standing there trying to watch the race, or trying to sleep there saving a spot.

My first character was a Gith Warlock, and the first thing I tried was Eldritch Blasting an object. Take that, Jeremy Crawford!

The time stop one is absurdly awesome in my experience. In trouble? Need to kill something fast? Stop time, hose them down.

There’s some gameplay loops that can be fun 240 times. Combat coming to mind. But the two things that drive me insane are the temple grind and outpost resource management (NEVER ENOUGH STORAGE). I never found myself dying for mods in the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, but I gotta admit Starfield is making me wish

It is indeed very hard to believe that no one on that team raised their hand and said “hey, this doesn’t seem like a fun thing to do 240 times”.

Yes, this is on purpose. You need to do NG+ to get all the powers.

I saw that “I expect everyone to treat company money like their own and lead by example.” line and knew that this guy was clueless. No one’s gonna do that, mostly because it’s not their own money. I’d expect that kind of delusion from a small business owner, but from the CEO of a major company? C’mon, man.

Thank you for writing what I was going to write. It’s basically impossible to sell your used stuff on eBay or Amazon anymore with that $600 limit, because coming up with a defensible cost basis for the sales is a giant pain in the neck. Everyone’s going on forums or social media and using Zelle or PP F&F now.

Unity is charging by the game install, and also the one counting them with basically no accountability by the people who have to pay? Yikes. The moral hazard and perverse incentives of that situation are pretty huge.

No one else is doing infernal iron upgrades on her that I’m aware of.

I’ve run into a few of those bugs, and it’s maddening. I think the game itself creates some high expectations that it can’t quite live up to by being so good at accounting for all sorts of crazy things. I’m currently dealing with Karlach’s quest being dead-ended by what I would call an unforeseeable sequence of

My dude, arguing with him (her?) is a waste of time. The very fact that he assumes lack of violent conflict is the norm - so much so that he assumes randos on the Internet have no experience with it - tells you about the sheltered life he lives, probably protected by decidedly non-pacifistic police. My friends who

Don’t worry, they’re gonna cash for clunkers those old ICE vehicles eventually.

They probably could, but whether they should is a whole different question.

I thought the price wasn’t so bad, too. Implementation of local streaming and battery life are key for me as well. I think my son might be interested in gaming from his room, and we mostly use the XSX on the TV downstairs.

I have to admit, we thought about going, but the price was just too much in the end - we’re just not big enough Star Wars fans to be able to justify it. I don’t begrudge people who went, it seems like a once-in-the-lifetime sort of trip, but I can’t help but think they should have either made it its own normal daily ex

I am dreading this discussion with my wife when it comes time to replace our cars. I think we paid something like $13k and $16k back in 2013, and the sticker shock when we’re going to be in the $25k-$30k range is real. For that money, I don’t even know that buying used makes sense.

I’ve stopped doing delivery outside of work for pretty much this reason. The delivery costs have gotten absurd, and that’s without even considering the 20-30% they charge restaurants. Hard to believe there’s not a more efficient way to do all this.
