I got Omicron at almost exactly two weeks after I got my booster. I barely noticed it and cleared it (to a negative rapid test) within a week. My vaccinated kids definitely didn’t notice it until surveillance testing at their school caught it. If companies need to require proof of vaccination and boosting or whatever…
Reeks of the “two weeks to flatten the curve” nonsense, sorry. Shutdowns don’t work because people don’t comply, even in relatively liberal countries. Trying them over and over just destroys businesses.
The right of peaceful assembly is a _human right_. I am not indefinitely relinquishing that, and neither should anyone else. Acting like the ability to interact with a crowd is just a convenience completely obfuscates the complexity of the problem.
I’m with you, dude. The people there took reasonable precautions and made their own risk assessment about their attendance. Given Omicron’s spread, some exposure was inevitable, and they knew it. In all likelihood, responsible adults who vaccinated+boosted+masked are just going to get a mild cold if they get it. This…
Can someone correct me here? My research seems to indicate you can get e. coli from raw flour exactly the way you would from contaminated produce. Doesn’t mean that raw produce is now and forever off the table, right?
I want to say I heard it was one year. I deliberately held off from buying the PS5 copy for that reason... we’ll see if it pays off.
You’re not wrong. The sad reality is that most of the small businesses that closed up shop during the pandemic didn’t do it because they had no workers, it was because they couldn’t survive a sustained government lockdown. I wonder if the option for the government to just randomly shut you down is coded in the game…
I’d LOVE a remake of the first two games into the modern format. They had a ton of clever ideas, but the gameplay is too archaic for me to wade through.
It’s your duty to hate everyone who lives in NoVA. Never forget!
Road construction is a perpetual disaster in NoVA, and that’s a constant no matter which party is in charge. I’ve worked there for 15 years off and on, and it always feel like things are being built but never finished.
Looted in a riot? They should have just called their insurance and been made whole! /s
JWST was horribly mismanaged, and had a lot of haters inside who (rightly) saw it as an ever-sucking bottomless maw that money was shoveled into like there was no tomorrow. While I’m glad it’s finally launching and putting an end to the misery, make no mistake, the path there was pretty terrible.
You’re not wrong. I fought tooth and nail to get a PS5, and it’s like... Returnal and Miles Morales are the only exclusive games I care about. It was a bit of a let-down. Updated version of FF14 is nice, though.
Sorry, when I say “SMT”, I mean “SMT mainline”, which is what I assume most people think of without using any of the variants. Played and beaten Persona 3-5 and both DDS games (which were phenomenal and under-appreciated, incidentally).
This is a really good review (and props on the oven story), but it would have been way better with some gameplay shots. Like... what the heck does the battle interface look like? What does the gameplay outside of battle look like? The other SMT games are (were?) first person dungeon crawls, is this one, too?
It was a bit rocky at launch, but it more or less functions as intended now. I think a lot of the problem was developer implementation more than anything else.
Outpost Kaloki X is awesome. 10/10
Someone remind me why no more Penny Arcade?
I was just playing it, too. Controls are a lot better, but the terrible graphics and really unresponsive mini-game controls make me think that we needed remakes, not slightly amped-up mobile ports.
