Feral hogs are dangerous, they’re fast, they have a great sense of smell, and they’re surprisingly smart. And while they’re large / easy to hit, taking one down can sometimes require multiple rounds on target, which isn’t super easy when they get running. Did I mention that they often don’t travel alone?

When you’re hunting, you generally shoot at an angle so that your bullet will impact the ground behind the target. It’s one of the rules of firearm safety - know your target and what’s behind it. I think you’re also over-estimating what kind of firepower is needed for feral hogs... 5.56x45 is probably undergunning it,

Hogs multiply REALLY fast. That’s why they’re such a problem in some states.

BTW, for everyone who’s ever asked why you need an AR-15 or similar semi-auto for hunting, wild hogs are a pretty good reason for one. Wild hogs are tough as nails, and a single shot is not guaranteed to put them down, never mind that you may very well need to tackle more than one at a time and that they’re dangerous

Pretty much. It turns out that the higher up you go, the more you will need to interact and communicate with people. That’s not just the management track, either; that’s being a team lead, systems engineer, subject matter expert, or whatever.

The prices dropped in November 2016, and have basically stayed there since then. As for attempts to compare the Switch to combinations of other systems, that’s fatally flawed for many, many reasons, one of the primary reasons being that the Switch isn’t two systems.

The Switch most certainly doesn’t have a lower price than the X1 or PS4.

I think you’re missing the other part of the equation, which is that the market for games has gotten larger and larger. Yes, AAA games cost more to make. But, to use extreme examples, GTAV sold 75m copies, and Minecraft has sold something along the same number. The per-unit cost to distribute games has also gone down

I don’t think it’s millenials, I think it’s the drive to profit above all else for some game publishers. These guys read about microtransactions and “whales”, and then just start pushing the line further and further. Skins? They’re cool with that. Classes? Well, we’ll provide a very annoying way to unlock them for

This, times a million. The trend towards semi-forced microtransactions in games you paid for is extremely obnoxious, even worse than horse armor DLC. That’s not new content, guys, it’s a fucking second paywall. When are the reviewers going to start penalizing games for this stunt?

I’m not sure I’d say the combat is broken so much as certain encounters are broken. I generally enjoyed the combat, but found certain encounters to be highly annoying. The game pretty much rides on the bromance and setting(s), but it does that so well as to make you ignore the game’s other minor problems.

All politics is local...

When you say “moderately”, you must mean “extremely”. Hogan’s approval rate is at like 75% right now, and his favorable is at 70%. No one’s heard of Perez; he would get curb-stomped by Hogan’s machine. The Dems need to run an experienced politico with a lot of name recognition if they want to unseat Hogan. There’s no

Unless Hogan screws up or gets a bad economic hand dealt to him between now and the next election, he would destroy Perez in a governor’s race. Perez has no name recognition in Maryland with the masses, and Hogan is TREMENDOUSLY popular right now. Don’t save Perez for the Maryland governor’s race, he probably will not

I feel your pain. I only recently replaced my Sony KDS-55A3000 SXRD... it was actually holding up pretty well, but the bulb was starting to dim, and I was really starting to notice the overscan problems (and that was a TV with only 5% overscan). No regrets, 4k+HDR is terrific, especially when paired with a high

I didn’t mind the first... hour of Chapter 13. It was hours 2 and 3 that felt like a slog.

I hate to say this, but you are probably going to need to replace that TV eventually. Overscan compensation support in the current console generation is a lot worse than in the X360/PS3 days, presumably because modern video sources are digital and don’t need it.

When you find Ravus’ corpse the first time (versus the second time, when you have to re-kill it), it really doesn’t look like the guy got executed... more like he got murdered when the demons overran the stronghold. I think the note only says he was sentenced to be executed, could be they brought him back out when

That’s a gross distortion of the air traffic controller strike that leaves out some key facts.

So, the way you duck the skillet is by using a chef’s torch and blow-torching the burgers. Chef’s torches are not expensive, and it will save you a lot of time when post-processing sous vide meats.
