This discussion has actually inspired me to grab Field Notes, and I'm a regular Moleskine devotee. As a dancer, it'd be nice to have a lightweight notebook in my pocket that doesn't intrude on movement, and that I can whip out in class to jot down a note or two.

I'm wondering how intimidating (in a good way) that is if you GM from that position instead...

Oh yeah! I ran a 4e D&D game a few years ago with one guy I'd never before who lived several states away (he was friends with someone in our group). So my group got together in one place, table, maps, and all, and we Skyped him in. Worked out perfectly.

Nope, we all just gather on our own screens and play like we're sitting at a table with each other. It's nice because I don't have to worry about hosting folks, ordering pizza, and wondering if I have enough Mountain Dew to satisfy everyone.

There's actually a couple G+ apps that help facilitate the experience. Roll20 helps with dice rolling support for some games. But most folks doing this have their own dice and we're honest folk.

Super geeky, but I actually use Hangouts for playing tabletop RPGs. It's amazing.

Does the mobile site also have Chat Heads? Because I hate Chat Heads. How do I turn that feature off? :(

Never, and the fact actually upsets me. The last time I visited a library was when I was still in college. I haven't found a particular use for one lately. I love being surrounded by books and the sort of studious feeling you get being in a library, but I simply have no current need to go to one.

It's a neat feature, but technically couldn't you also set up an IFTT rule to send an update from a slow RSS site to Pocket or your e-mail?

There is something hilariously sacrilegious about nuking wine that makes me really want to try it.

So what you're saying is, drink more wine and drink faster?

I use Dashlane, and technically you need to be online in order to use it—everything's saved to an encrypted cloud space thingy (I make words good). It doesn't automatically enter/ask for me to save a wireless password. I suppose if you have a smartphone with Dashlane/LastPass handy, you could technically just save the…

I've been told that after opening a bottle of wine (red wine, specifically), you should put it in the fridge to slow it from going bad. Is there any actual benefit to this or am I drinking cold red wine for no reason?

Mmm, true. That's a good strategy. I also write for a 250-word minimum every day, which has been a largely unbroken streak since the beginning of the year, so hooray for that. I guess small steps are better than no steps at all.

1. This is quite possibly my most favorite reply ever.

If only I had a treadmill :D

I think this is why flossing is actually an easy habit to pick up, if you think about it this way. If you already brush every day without thinking about it, you might as well tack on the flossing thing. At least, it's been one of the easier habits for me to pick up lately.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check it out

Mmm. That one is a staple in my beer diet :D

I've started keeping track of the beers I try on Evernote with notes on them. I'm finding I like IPAs more than I probably should ...
