I agree with a lot of the criticisms here, but the main thing I felt when I saw the film was that the world was bland and awful and I didn’t care if Superman saved it or not, and possibly worse was that I didn’t really like Krypton and didn’t want the Kryptonians to win either. I can’t even think of another movie

In my experience a sober kid is always far less insufferable than a recovered alcoholic who just wants to talk to you about how much they don’t drink anymore and probably also jesus.

I’m between Gen X and Millennial and the industry can definitely blame me all it fucking wants for not buying drinks at shows anymore. Every component of the experience costs several times more than it used to so my money is going to the ticket to get in and that’s about it.

I was definitely yelling “Fuck the Empire” at my TV during that scene so they did a good enough job of getting the point across.

I feel like the problem is that George Lucas has never had any fucking idea how big a galaxy is and seems to have some object permanence issues, relating to both his characters and the plots of the films themselves. I bet when he went to his high school reunion he thought that anyone who wasn’t there must have died.

I hate to say it but the fact that all the best episodes are from the first four seasons and everyone agrees on that fact and nobody came here expecting anything from any other season to be on this list is why I’m not super excited about the show coming back once again.

I think I wasn’t clear enough on the fact that I consider Metroid Prime games to be a spinoff series and not the main Metroid games. There’s room for both but I know personally I’d like the Prime games shaken up and don’t care how much they change. I tried playing the Prime remaster and just found myself itching to go

When you get right down to it, Metroid is still an IP, it’s not like Metroid Prime Pinball was a metroidvania. I would absolutely play a Dark Souls turn-based tactical RPG, that actually sounds amazing.

As someone who wants cloud gaming to die ASAP, I hope you get one within a few months

I should’ve clarified, I’ve always been more of a 2d Metroid person. I never really vibed with the Prime games and those are the ones I want shaken up. Dread was great. I’d also like a 3d version of Dread if that’s in the cards.

This is the first time I’ve ever played a Zelda game at launch because I’ve always been more of a Metroid person than a Zelda person, and to be honest I’m loving every second of this stuff and hope that BOTW is a template for Metroid Prime 4 as well.

“Easily” seems like a stretch since it isn’t obvious at all how to do it and in fact many of the links I followed to download Steam skins were broken, and they don’t seem to be downloadable directly through the app. Unless you aren’t talking about skins and it’s something else that isn’t obvious.

I will take the “barebones” interface of Epic or the Nintendo Switch 1000 times out of 1000 over a cluttered nightmare of multiple menu locations and sidebars like Steam or Spotify. I have absolutely no idea why so many people seem to absolutely hate clear and simplified UI, maybe it’s that everyone’s serotonin has

I would trust literally any of my friends who work from home to do a better job at running every one of Musk’s businesses than he does, from home.

I doubt he’ll ever even achieve “failed mission to the moon”

Tbh I’m hoping that President Hudson will be a boss fight, I want to fight him

It started with the Star Wars prequels, George Lucas didn’t seem to have any understanding that part of what made Star Wars “magic” for people was that the force was vague and the galaxy was full of mystery and adventure that we all explored through the eyes of our fresh-faced protagonists. Now we basically have TV

I’ve been excited for Tears of the Kingdom since it was announced but there’s definitely a voice in my head that is screaming to start an Elden Ring NG+ right now

As someone who works for tips this is one of my worst nightmares unfolding, business owners are using tech and hand-waving to collect more money for doing less, and the discourse (including this article) keeps furthering the conversation as “tipping is out of control” and that trickles down to myself and other people

As someone who bought Fallout New Vegas the week it came out, not only does nobody seem to know how bad it was on release, but I’ve spent 10+ years hearing people describe it as a “perfect” game. The main reason for a writer to focus on the positive is just that a review of a released-but-unfinished game that focuses
