He’ll “find a cure for death” just like Musk will “make self-driving cars a regular thing” and “colonize Mars” and they’ll all die normally on Earth stuck in traffic

I’m a little confused about people having internet fast enough to run Stadia having a major issue waiting for updates over said internet

I’m one of those “play the story once then spend 80 hours in multiplayer” types but I copped the MCC recently so it will soon be time for a revisit.

Can’t really argue with that

The game felt empty and unfinished and ended abruptly after a boss fight that felt anticlimactic and then had something like 20 different endings. Yep that’s some classic dysfunctional AA/AAA 2010s game development shit.

You might think that would be the case, but I have about 250 hours in VR and mostly don’t have problems with it. That said, most VR involves standing still and teleporting and not driving a boat with weird controls through tunnels

It admittedly has been close to 20 years since I played it, but I absolutely don’t remember the Arbiter in Halo 2 having even slightly good dialogue

Shamefully I’ve already tapped out of Half-Life 2 twice just from motion sickness from the boat section so I don’t know if I’m the target audience for this (the only other major game that’s ever given me motion sickness was Portal 2 and it was milder)

One of the main issues I had with BL2 is that it had a perfect ending that happened about 2/3 of the way through the game with that one reveal and boss fight, and then it just dragged on after that.

I haven’t played 3 but I felt like the player characters in BL1 were awful in both games, they were one dimensional in BL1 and insufferably snarky and dramatic in BL2 (and felt like completely different characters)

The best time for Microsoft to put Nier Automata back on Game Pass is also right now

I think the most promising thing about this game is that people are taking the 1000 planets announcement with a healthy amount of skepticism when it was obviously intended to blow people away and make them talk about it with amazement. We’re past the point where games need to use their space efficiently instead of

All they’d really even need to do is a full solar system like Outer Worlds except make the planets feel like full planets instead of the equivalent of a small town on each planet.

If Nvidia is going to announce and/or release 40xx video cards this year then I don’t see why there couldn’t be a refresh of game consoles as well. Probably some combination of keeping all the engineers gainfully employed and executives neurotically pushing for the appearance of “business as usual” and “tech progress

Gato Roboto was better and smarter than it had any right to be, I’ll be picking Gunbrella up day one.

Any of us who use Google Maps (which is probably most of us) are used to it being a tossup whether an “update” is actually better than the previous version or just reintroduces old bugs with or without adding any features. The time of app updates being exciting is long gone.

There has already never been a platform in existence with more dead/abandoned games than iOS and the fact that Apple wants to push it further is proof of how much they’re in favor of that model. I’ve had iPhones for 10 years and most of the games I have any nostalgia for have either stopped working or weren’t

Tbh, since he’s one of the musicians who’s more infamous than almost anyone else for an album that’s been delayed for years and years (probably second only to Axl Rose), I was really surprised to learn that he hasn’t been spending all his time playing video games.

I almost typed out all those exact examples in my comment, haha. I’d imagine that if they started Portal 3 now that it probably would come out around whenever TES 6 comes out ie at least three years from now
