why, mathematically, does it even make sense for democrats to be pro-choice? They could easily win many of the “what’s the matter with Kansas” people if they stopped being pro-choice- and what would they lose? Their 4 point advantage with women?
Well, for one thing, we could lose access to all forms of reproductive rights including access to abortion, plan B, and even birth control. Maybe, some people are pro choice because they believe in women’s rights as human beings and that we shouldn’t die from back alley medical care. So, more than 4 points I’d say.
